wireless headphones arrive in France

The first wireless headphones from Google equipped with active noise reduction technology are now available in France.

Sundar Pichai’s group made its Pixel Buds Pro wireless headphones official alongside the Pixel 6a last May at Google I/O. They are now available in France at a price of 219.99 euros.

Until then, the American manufacturer only had a pair of Bluetooth headphones, the Pixel Buds A-Series, more affordable, but also less technologically advanced.

First model with ANC

The Pixel Buds Pro are the first designed by Google to adopt active noise reduction technology, also known as ANC. It offers better immersion, especially when the user is in noisy places. It has become a must on high-end models. To stay aware of your environment, a Transparency mode is also on the program.

At the same time, so that calls can be clearer, Google has opted for wind noise suppression and voice highlighting using an AI.

Everything is made possible by the presence of three microphones in each headset.

Additional features

Sound is powered through the Pixel Buds Pro using 11mm dynamic drivers. So that it remains clear, rich and complete in all circumstances, the Mountain View company also offers an equalizer responsible for dynamically modifying the sound parameters (bass, midrange, treble) depending on the volume.

For simple and practical use, the Pixel Buds Pro also have touch buttons, although the controls can also be managed by Google’s voice assistant. In addition, a function makes it possible to detect when the user is wearing his headphones and therefore to pause as soon as he removes one of the buds.

In terms of connectivity, they connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.0.

Autonomy of more than 30 hours

For its Pixel Buds Pro, the Mountain View company announces an autonomy of 11 hours for headphones alone without ANC (7 hours with). It can be extended up to 31 hours with the case, the latter also supporting wireless charging. 5 minutes in the case would then be enough to gain 1 hour of listening time with active noise cancellation.

These TWS headphones are IPX4 certified, for their resistance to water and perspiration.

They are offered in four colors including Charcoal, Mist, Coral and Lime Green, with their two-tone design and matte texture.
