Tour de France – The jackpot for Jumbo, Astana donkey cap: details of the bonuses

Victory pays off big in the Tour de France. And it is not the Jumbo-Visma which will say the opposite, at the head of a gain of nearly 800,000 euros (779,750), according to the count of the gains published Sunday evening by the organizers. Jonas Vingegaard has something to do with it, because the bonus offered to the overall winner is equal to 500,000 euros.

Behind the Dutch formation, the UAE Emirates of Tadej Pogacar (322,960 euros) and the INEOS Grenadiers of Geraint Thomas (240,610 euros) complete the podium. Thanks to David Gaudu’s fourth place finish, Groupama – FDJ ranks fourth (€143,860). At the level of bad students, Astana looks like a dunce cap, with the envelope of 15,000 euros, or less than 2,000 on average for each runner present at the start of Copenhagen. Note that the Kazakh team capped at 600 euros in bonuses at mid-race, and can thank Alexey Lutsenko and his ninth place overall (4,500 euros).
