A Smart Display identical to the previous one
When a formula works, there is no need to change it. This is why the 2nd generation Google Nest Hub largely takes over the features of its predecessor. It keeps a minimalist look and a foot that will fit in all the rooms of your house, with however more generous dimensions and a heavier weight than the first of the name.
The 7-inch IPS screen is identical to keep a compact format, but remains large enough to consult the desired information in a readable way. Moreover, the brightness of the screen adapts to the environment of the room to avoid being dazzled by the screen after dark or in the early morning. We find the Google OS which works around the Google Assistant and the Chromecast function. You can also control your connected objects, ask for the weather, current news or scheduled appointments without difficulty.
With some welcome improvements
The novelties are not visible, but they are present. The Nest Hub incorporates an additional microphone, which allows the screen to be more precise in voice recognition. It picks up voices better, even distant ones. On the audio side, Google brings a 43.5 mm transducer offering more power and better sound quality. The Nest Hub is more than enough to wake up to and enjoy radio and music in that setting.
The 2021 Nest Hub adds built-in sleep tracking via Soli, a radar technology. The product is able to measure the duration of your sleep, but also the quality of the latter. To do this, it will capture your movements, your breathing, the variations in light or even hear your snoring to determine the duration and quality of your sleep. Every morning, a summary of the night is displayed on the screen.

The Google Nest Mini is the firm’s smallest connected speaker. Its very cute design, its size, its qualities and the fact of not being too expensive make it a speaker to consider. Google improves the sound quality by integrating two more powerful basses than on the previous model.
The sound is more punchy, clear and natural, but you should avoid pushing it to the maximum. It remains effective in communicating effectively with the assistant.
