Zapping World Eleven EXCLUDED: Kalidou Koulibaly’s “Little Brother” interview!
Frenkie de Jong seems to be turning more and more into a savior of Barça. Not by playing but by leaving the club. The departure of the midfielder seems to be confirmed and he seems to accept it. Yet reluctant to leave Barcelona a few days ago, the Dutch international would now have digested the idea of a transfer.
His former manager Erik ten Hag is still very keen on getting him back and Manchester United have had their first offer turned down, as revealed recently. The Red Devils should soon submit a new offer for the 25-year-old midfielder, for whom Barça are hoping for between 80 and 100 million euros. Any transfer below this sum would be judged as a failure for the Blaugranas, who need to make a profit on this operation which had cost them 75 M € in 2019.
To replace him, Xavi’s main leads would lead to Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan.
