BMW has just opened pre-orders for its electric compact SUV, with a first version at more than €55,000.
The X1 sees double. Alongside the classic version, offered in petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid, there is now a 100% electric model, the iX1. This model is now available for pre-order on the BMW website.
Technically, there are two motors, one on each axle, with a maximum combined power of 313 hp. The torque climbs to 494 Nm. The model displays good performance, with a 0 to 100 km/h achieved in 5.7 seconds. On the autonomy side, BMW announces 438 km.

The announced starting price is €55,150. The endowment is not yet detailed. If we rely on the equipment of the thermal version, there would be a series of curved screens, navigation, rear view camera, dual-zone automatic air conditioning or even 17-inch rims. In the draft configurator, there is also a price of 59,050 € for the M Sport version with a more muscular look. Under €60,000, the bonus is €2,000.
That seems high after the launch of the Tesla Model Y Propulsion, billed at €49,990. If this one is less efficient and does not benefit from four-wheel drive, with a single 284 hp engine according to our information, it has a range of 455 km and more generous equipment.
