“The stock is a defense secret because smallpox is recognized as a biological weapon”, declared François Braun before adding: “We know that it could be used in the event of a conflict and therefore it is part of the State’s reserve stocks”. “We cannot give figures”, he firmly maintained.
“There is a very large stock”, nevertheless wanted to reassure the Minister of Health. He took the opportunity to take stock of the progress of vaccination. “We destocked 42,000 doses”, said François Braun. In details, “32,000 available for 7,000 people vaccinated”.
