Since the beginning of 2022, the price of the Tesla Model 3 has continued to increase, today exceeding the 50,000 euro mark. A price that is prohibitive to say the least for many motorists, who dreamed of being able to make the big leap from electric this year. In China, some manufacturers have found the ultimate solution to circumvent this concern: develop a vehicle largely inspired by a Tesla model, and sell it at a far more attractive price.
Yet another “Tesla Clone” in China
This is the case recently of the Changan Automobile brand, which has developed a new model, called Shenlan SL03, which has obviously drawn its inspiration from the side of this same Tesla Model 3. It is obviously a small model. 100% electric, which shares very many similarities with the American car.

The dimensions of the car are thus very close (within a few centimeters), and the front of the vehicle developed by Changan Automobile leaves very little doubt as to its affiliation with the Tesla Model 3. Ditto on board, with a very refined interior, in which we find a huge touch screen, which moreover has a specific display mode which takes up the main lines of the Tesla interface.
On the technical side, the car developed by Changan Automobile has a range of 515 km in the basic version, a special version allowing this to be increased to 705 km. Obviously, with its look very inspired by the Tesla Model 3, this Shenlan SL03 has something to seduce, especially since its price is significantly lower than that of the American car.

Indeed, the Shenlan SL03 signed Changan Automobile is displayed at only 26,000 dollars in China. Enough to trigger a compulsive purchase among many curious people, since the manufacturer indicates that it has received more than 15,000 orders just a few hours after formalizing its new model. The first customers should be delivered by the end of the year.
