The service is already available in Belgium and other European countries.
Google is slowly trying to diversify its activities and add appeal to its various services. The latest to be affected is Google Photos. The Alphabet subsidiary announced on Wednesday that it now allowed users of its cloud for Photos to have their photos developed, and that it was extending the service, already available in two countries, to Europe and Canada.
“Today most (if not all) of our photos are digital. That’s why Google Photos is adding new ways to print your photos, so you can easily celebrate and save life’s meaningful moments”says Cody Bratt, Google Photos product manager.
Concretely, Google allows you to choose one or more photos from its Google Photos gallery and develop them in different forms. The first, the simplest, concerns the printing of the photos in print. 10 different sizes are available: 10×10, 10×15, 13×18, 20×20, 20×30, 30×45, 40×60, 50×50, 50×75, 60×90 cm. Count at least €0.15 per print, to which you must add shipping costs and possible taxes.
Canvas prints and photo albums
Canvas prints are also on the menu for “turn your favorite memories into murals”. Two formats are available, namely 20×20 cm and 75×100 cm. They will be sold from 28 €.
Finally, the photo books are customizable in two formats, 23×23 cm with hard cover, and 18×18 cm with couple cover, from €14.99. Google is offering delivery here until July 24.

To place an order, this is done from several channels. You can go directly through Google Photos on the browser, but also from the Google Photos application on smartphones. Select a photo, go to the top right and press More. Select Order the photo then Photo prints.
Initially, the service was only offered in the United States and Japan. The Mountain View company has thus decided to extend this functionality to the 27 countries of the European Union (including Belgium), the United Kingdom and Canada.
