Google SARL Wasn’t making a contract offer when he emailed users about the “exciting benefits” of joining the company’s Local Guides program, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday.

The decision upholds Google’s summary judgment that ended a 2018 class action lawsuit alleging breach of contract and conversion claims after Google allegedly breached a promise of free Google Drive storage.

The email ad informed users that by joining Google’s Local Guides program and contributing to Google Maps, they could receive one terabyte of Google Drive storage.
