In the legal series, Google and Sonos are not left out, the two firms attacking each other on a fairly regular basis. Thus, the American giant is again attacking the manufacturer for non-compliance with several patents concerning smart speakers and voice control technology. According to Google’s spokesperson, these actions were filed in order to defend their technology but also
to challenge the clear and continuous infringement of their patents by Sonos. She also intends to denounce the latest Sonos promotional campaign, which he describes as
aggressive and deceptiveat the expense of their common customers. For now, the lawsuit is limited to California, but Google plans to take the U.S. International Trade Commission to ban imports of any counterfeit Sonos products.
