One could suspect it, Elon Musk confirmed it: Tesla will increase the price of its Cybertruck, which should also make concessions in terms of its technical specifications.
In 2019, Tesla announced the launch of the Cybertruck, an all-terrain electric pickup with a futuristic design. But the production of the vehicle has been delayed, has been pushed back several times, and the first deliveries are not expected to take place before the summer of 2023.
This August 4, 2022, was organized on Cyber Roundup, an annual meeting with Tesla investors and shareholders. During this meeting, Elon Musk shared very bad news for those who were planning to buy a Cybertruck. The boss of Tesla has indeed informed that the technical data sheet and the price of the vehicle will be modified compared to the announcements made in 2019. And this will of course not be to the benefit of consumers.

“Cybertruck pricing was unveiled in 2019, and the reservation was $99. A lot has changed since then, so specs and prices will be different. I hate to give out some kind of little bad news, but I think there was no way to anticipate inflation and the various issues we went through”commented Elon Musk in front of the audience of shareholders.
This communication only formalizes what we could already suspect. In the last quarter of 2021, Tesla quietly removed Cybertruck pricing and specifications from its website, hinting at changes to come. For now, we do not know what order these changes will be. Elon Musk was content to assure that the electric pickup will remain “a damn nice machine”.
As for the release date of the vehicle, the contractor confirmed that he is aiming for mid-2023. “We will install the production equipment, and the tooling from the next two months”, he said. He expects mass production to begin in the middle of next year. However, it is likely that the United States will be served first and that Europe will have to be more patient, despite the opening of the Gigafactory in Berlin at the start of the year.
