MILAN, Aug 10 (Reuters) – Sports video streaming app DAZN said on Wednesday it had struck separate deals with Google. (GOOGL.O) and Samsung (005930.KS) which would allow new customers to get the video service bundled with certain devices in Italy.
The deals come after Telecom Italia (TIM) (TLIT.MI) renegotiated a costly partnership with the sports video streaming app, giving up an exclusive right to host DAZN on its TimVision video content platform.
Last year, DAZN secured the broadcast rights to Serie A, Italy’s top-tier soccer league, most of them exclusive.
