If there is a car manufacturer that unleashes passions, it is Tesla. The Californian brand always manages to occupy conversations and debates, between absolute fans and “haters”. A communication maintained by the personality of his boss, Elon Musk.
Result, the annual million copies are exceeded, without ever spending a single penny on advertising.
Plaid, what is it?
To revive the interest of the S and X models, neglected since the arrival in the showrooms of the Model 3, Tesla produces these ultra powerful versions.
These models benefit from numerous developments: new interiors, new powertrain, new temperature management, new electronic components, new chassis and much more. Tesla talks about an improved production process, reduced weight and refined exterior styling.
But it is the performance that will be talked about, with an impressive technical sheet, especially for the Model S Plaid. With a range of 600 kilometers, a top speed of 322 km/h, a 0 to 100 km/h dispatched in 2.1 seconds, thanks to three motors with carbon-coated rotors developing 1,020 horsepower.
For its part, the Model X Plaid uses the same engine, for a range of 528 kilometers, a top speed of 262 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h: 2.6 seconds.
It is now possible to order a Model S Plaid or a Model X Plaid.
The Model S Plaid is available in France from €138,990. The Model X Plaid starts at €141,990.
